Shoppers will spend an estimated $7.8 billion on Cyber Monday, and Domino’s Pizza Inc. is hoping to get a slice.

On a day famous for small-appliance and HD television deals, Domino’s is jumping into the retail foray with its own Cyber Monday deal: half off all menu-priced pizzas for online orders through Dec. 2.

The deal highlights Domino’s tech prowess. The chain over the years has become known for its mobile-ordering capabilities, along with voice options through Google Home and Amazon.com Inc.’s Alexa. Its digital savvy is helping sales in the very competitive U.S. restaurant industry — Domino’s domestic same-store sales jumped 6.3 percent in the latest quarter, outpacing peers.
