Objective
citizenM retained us to source an SVP of Sales, a new role for the company. This is a key hire reporting to Ernest Lee, Chief Commercial Officer.
Approach
As citizenM were flexible on the location of the candidate (US (New York) or Europe (Voorschoten, HQ)), we split the search in two – one side we mapped European candidates and the other side was focused on relevant US candidates
We utilized traditional search methods, with the additional advantage of tapping Skift’s ecosystem to source unconventional candidates.
Outcome
Through our mapping process, we delivered a longlist of relevant candidates to citizenM, before agreeing together to the ‘target list’ which consisted of the top candidates we would reach out to.
After a rigorous interview process, a great candidate emerged who had the specific skill set we were looking for and a strong alignment with citizenM’s core values. She started with the business on August 1st 2024.
